Welcome to Crown of Christ Missions!

Ginger and I would like to describe our organization and encourage you to join our team.

Our Story

Let me begin by giving you some information about us: we are a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization devoted to spread the good news of Jesus Christ our Lord through discipleship, relationships with individuals, families and assisting those in need.

As you well know Honduras is a poverty stricken country, due to various reasons beyond our control, leaving unfortunate children in its wake. I was privileged enough to meet and travel with a Christian mission group last year for a construction project in San Marcos de Colón. I met a man by the name of Pastor Aquiles. In 2005 Pastor Aquiles, with the help of other foreign missionaries and God, built a church and a school with 3 classrooms. This was to provide a place for some of the poor children in the community to attend school. He feeds the children around 2 in the afternoon prior to going home, because for some it will be the only meal of the day. Elizabeth and Rosita Martinez along with Soamy Espinal teach around 83 children from Kindergarten to 6th grade.

Ginger and I have since returned to the school to build relationships with the teachers and their families, as well as with pastor Aquiles and his family. Their needs are basic: food, school supplies and uniforms. School uniforms are traditionally worn by most all of the school children in Honduras.  As of right now some kids have no socks or underwear and may or may not have a uniform.

If you would like for your church to get involved, we would be honored to visit and speak on behalf of our projects and mission work. Please e-mail us in regards to scheduling that.

 Sincerely,

Todd and Ginger Folger

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.”Matthew 10:42 NIV

Our Goals

I realize that we cannot help every child in need all over the world, but with God’s help we can help this one school, one child at a time. Our goals are measurable, straight forward and will be accomplished with a team concept. Team members will include all of us who are committed to this project.  The goal is to get at least one sponsor for each child and help them through to the 6th grade.

Our Plan

Provide the sponsored child with uniforms that fit, shoes that fit, something to eat while they attend school, teachers pay for Elizabeth, Rosita and Soamy and a few dollars for the up keep on the school. The teachers work for just a few dollars a day to teach the curriculum that is required.

For the next few years I will hand deliver the money, uniforms and other supplies to the school. I will also deliver gifts; clothes, letters and whatever else a sponsor would like to send to their child. I use our home as an office, therefore reducing our overhead to near nothing.

Our plans also include a small securable office in an unoccupied space at the school that will house extra clothes, uniform skirts, pants, blouses, shirts and black shoes.

Miladis Martinez will assist our operations in the office as well as fill in for a teacher from time to time. She will be provided with a desk, computer, iPhone and occasional  wi-fi,to ensure contact with us.
